Additional Waste and Recycling Bin Lease Information
Town of Plainville
The Town of Plainville offers residents the option to lease an additional waste or recycling bin, if needed.
Annual Lease Fees
Additional Waste Bin: $135.00 per year
Additional Recycling Bin: $50.00 per year
After January, the fee will be prorated for the remainder of the calendar year. This only applies to resident's who currently are not signed up for an additional bin.

- Important Information:
- Waste and recycling bins are leased, not sold, and remain the property of the Town.
- If a resident with an additional leased bin is moving, please contact the Public Works Administration to arrange for pickup of the extra bin(s).
- This applies only to additional leased bins. Original bins assigned to the property must remain at the residence for the new property owner.

- Residents must complete the Extra Waste and Recycling Bin Form, available online:

Completed forms may be:
Submitted in person to the Technical Services/Building Department (Room 100, Town Hall)
Mailed with payment
Placed in the secure drop box located at the rear of the Municipal Building near the large stairwell
Please note:
Payment must be received before a bin will be issued.
Payment is currently accepted by cash or check only.
Checks should be made payable to: Plainville Public Works Department.
Billing and Payment Policy
Invoices for additional waste bins are due between January 1st and February 1st
Failure to pay the annual lease fee will result in the Town collecting the additional waste or recycling bin(s).
If the Town collects the additional bin(s) due to non-payment, the full annual lease fee (no prorated amount) must be paid in order to have the bin(s) reissued.
Canceling a Lease:
If you no longer wish to lease your additional bin, please contact the Public Works Administration to schedule a pickup.
