           The Town’s Transfer Station is scheduled to open on Saturday, April 4th 2026 (weather permitting)

Plainville Transfer Station – Spring Season Information

The Transfer Station, located at 23 Granger Lane, Plainville, is open Saturdays only from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM during the open season. 

Opening and closing dates vary each year. Typically, the last day before the winter season is the first Saturday in December, and the opening day is the first Saturday in April, weather permitting.

The Transfer Station is for Plainville residents only. A valid photo ID is required.

New residents:
If you recently moved to Plainville and do not yet have an updated ID with your Plainville address, please bring:

Your current photo ID

A piece of mail showing your new Plainville address

Restrictions:

No commercial vehicles or business waste is permitted.

Plainville does not issue Transfer Station permits or passes.
