Charter Revision Commission

A Charter Revision Commission made up of seven (7) members was established by the Town Council on December 5, 2022. The Commission went out of existence on July 20, 2023 upon submitting their Final Report to the Town Council. The Final Report includes the Commission's proposed amendments to the Plainville Town Charter. Click HERE to access the Final Report.

The Town Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Center to hear thoughts and comments on the Final Draft Report.Completed
3.The Town Council will review the Final Draft Report and may make recommendations to the Charter Revision Commission.Complete
4.The Charter Revision Commission will review any recommendations by the Town Council and approve a Final Report.Complete
5.The Town Council will approve or reject, in total or in part, the Final Report and adopt a resolution establishing a referendum.Complete
6.The referendum is Tuesday, November 7, 2023.Complete
