Housing Authority
The Plainville Housing Authority is established pursuant to Chapter 128 of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended, to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing to low and moderate income families. In accordance with this objective the development of standard policies and procedures is necessary in order to ensure equitable treatment for all applicants and residents and to ensure efficient operation of state assisted public housing.
We are Elderly Housing (over the age of 62 or handicapped or disabled) with 120 units, which are studio or 1 bedroom units.
*** NOTICE ***
The Plainville Housing Authority waiting list will be opening Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday June 23 to June 25th, 10am to 2 pm.
- You can apply in person any one of the days or call us, and we will mail you an application.
- We cannot give applications out ahead of time. It must be when the list is open.
- We are elderly, handicapped, disabled housing only, no family housing.
- You must be 62 or older and be collecting social security. Disabled individuals must be 18 years or older and be collecting SSDI or SSI to apply.
- We have mostly studio apartments and a few one bedrooms.
