Senior Center

The Plainville Senior Center serves as the “hub” in the Plainville community for activities, programs, and services for individuals over the age of 60. The Plainville Senior Center has been selected by the North Central Area Agency on Aging as a “Designated Focal Point” in the North Central Connecticut’s Aging Services Network.

Membership is open to Plainville residents 60 years of age and older at no charge. Membership for non-resident seniors requires a yearly user fee.  

The Plainville Senior Center offers numerous activities including health and wellness, classes, education, outreach, financial assistance, caregivers and family support, meals, insurance assistance, transportation, volunteerism, grandparents raising grandchildren support, outdoor adventure club, trips, personal development, leisure services and intergenerational programming. In addition the Senior Center offers a fitness center and café.

The Senior Center publishes a monthly newsletter that contains information of interest to seniors as well as a complete schedule of programs, trips and activities.
