Fire Department

Plainville has a Volunteer Fire Department that provides Fire and Rescue services. Our Fire Department not only provides services to the citizens of Plainville, but also mutual aid assistance to the surrounding towns who in turn provide services to Plainville when needed.

Each year in late August, the Plainville Volunteer Fire Company hosts their Annual Balloon Festival weekend in Norton Park. The weekend includes fireworks, crafts and four balloon launches that draw large crowds. It is one of the largest balloon festivals in the Northeast. Because Plainville is centrally located in Connecticut, people come from all over the state to attend.

For information about the Annual Balloon Festival or about becoming a volunteer firefighter, please contact the Fire Department at the non-emergency number listed above.
