Nurse's Wellness Clinic: All Services are available to Senior Center Members only.

To make an appointment with the APRN nurse, call the Senior Center 860-747-5728.

Foot Care 
Diabetic and non-diabetic foot care is available and includes a foot soak, inspection of feet, and toe nail clipping. Referrals to area podiatrists are made as needed.  Call the Senior Center for cost.

Blood Pressure Clinics 
Walk-in Blood Pressure Clinics (no appointment necessary) are offered several times each month. Check the newsletter for dates.

Ear Wax Removal  
Call the Senior Center to make an ear wax appointment. At least one week prior to your appointment you must come into the Senior Center for an instruction sheet explaining the prep procedure, and at the same time, pick up the paperwork that must be filled out and brought in at the time of your appointment. Cholesterol Testing 
This form of testing does not require fasting. The test takes ten minutes and a few drops of blood from your fingertip. The nurse can tell you your total cholesterol, good (HDL) and bad (LDL) cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose. Call the Senior Center to make an appointment and for information on cost.

Dental Clinic
A mobile Dental Clinic is provided by Community Health Center several times in the course of a year. A registered Dental Hygienist provides a dental hygiene exam, dental cleaning, sealants and x-rays when appropriate. The cost is $30.00 for individuals without insurance. Call the Senior Center for information and to schedule an appointment.

Help in paying for Senior Center foot care and dental care services may be available for qualified Plainville residents 60 years of age and older. Contact Stephanie at the Senior Center for income eligibility information, 860-747-5728.
