Extra Waste or Recycle Bin Information

 The Town of Plainville allows residents if needed to lease an extra waste bin or to purchase an extra recycle bin. The annual yearly lease fee for an extra waste bin is $100.00. Please note, after the month of January the fee will be a pro-rated amount for the continuous of the year. If you should need to know the exact pro-rated amount please call the Public Works Department at (860)793-0221 ext 7176. If a resident would like to purchase a extra recycling bin there is a one time payment of $50.00.

*If a resident has an extra waste bin and is moving out of their residency, please call the Public Works Administration to request a pick-up of the additional bin. As a reminder, the waste bins are leased not sold to residents.

Residents can stop by the Tech Services Department located in room 100 of the Town Hall or can mail in the form with payment, there is also a mail drop off box in the back of the municipality building near the large stairwell. No bins can be dropped off until payment has been collected. At this time we are only accepting cash or checks. Checks can be made out to The Plainville Public Works Department.

 Invoices for the extra waste bins are due by the 1st of January/ February each year. Failure to pay the annual lease fee will result in the extra waste bin being collected from the town. If you no longer would like your leased bin you can call the Public Works Administration to request a pick-up.
