Leaf Collection

Leaf Pickup

Leaf collection in the Town of Plainville will begin on October 25th, 2023 and will end on December 2nd, 2023 (weather permitting). The Roadways Department will make more than one pass as leaf collection progresses during the season. During leaf collection season leaves (no sticks, stones, or grass clippings) should be brought to the CURBLINE, and NOT PLACED IN WALKWAYS OR IN THE ROAD, in case of an early snowstorm.  Listed below is the schedule of areas to be covered on the first collection (schedule of areas are subject to change): The Roadways Department will cover as many sections each day until leaf collection ends or if there is a snow storm. It is always recommended to place your leaves out as soon as residents can. Timing of when the Roadways Department reaches each section depends on the amounts of leaves and how large a section is. The Roadways Department could be at a section for a longer period of time exceeding more than one day or a smaller section in town for less than a day.
