Dog Licenses

All dogs must be licensed in the State of Connecticut when they are 6 months old then annually thereafter during the month of June. At the time of licensing please provide a copy a rabies certificate along with proof that the dog has been spayed or neutered.

Any blind, deaf or mobility impaired person who is an owner or keeper of a dog trained to help and assist the owner shall receive a license and dog tag at no fee. Proper supporting documentation must be provided.

Unaltered dogs are $19.00

Altered dogs are $8.00

A penalty fee of $1.00 will be charged for each month a license is not renewed.

If, for any reason, you no longer have a dog that was previously licensed in the Town of Plainville, please notify the Town Clerk’s office at (860) 793-0221 Ext. 8751
