Bad Check Paperwork

What is a "bad check"?....When you attempt to cash a check that someone gives you and the bank informs you that there are "insufficient funds" in the account or that the account is "Closed". 

What do I do if someone gives me a bad check?....If someone gives you a bad check you must complete the attached paperwork that includes writing a letter to the person who gave you the check in order to     allow them to make you whole.  If they do not make you whole you must complete a "bad check arrest warrant" and report the incident to the police department.  Please download the packet, read it carefully and fully complete it.  Bring the completed packet and all evidence to the police department.  You may also pick up a printed copy of this packet at the front desk of the police department if you do not have access to a printer.
