UPDATE- Plainville's 150th Anniversay Celebration

Just as an update regarding this weekend’s Plainville 150th Celebration, the bus/walking tour that was scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 20th from 10:00am to 4:00 pm has been postponed to a date to be determined in September of 2019. The Plainville 150th Committee apologizes for any inconvenience that this may bring. The public is still invited to stop by the Historic Center on Pierce Street and the Congregational Church on West Main Street beginning at 10:00am for walkthroughs and tours.

There are no changes to the Family Picnic that will be taking place on Sunday, July 21st from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at Norton Park.  There will be limited amounts of accessible parking at Norton Park.  General parking will be at the Old Parsons Dealership on East Street (151 East Street, Plainville, CT 06062).  There will be shuttle buses that will run continuously to Norton Park beginning at around 11:30am

This event will be a family picnic, so attendees can bring their own chairs, blankets, and food.  There will be live music, food trucks, games, and historic displays. For the entertainment lineup the fun begins with the Nzinga Daughters from 12:05 – 12:55, then the Senior Center Ukulele Group from 1:00 – 1:45, then the Old Tyme Fiddlers from 2:00 – 2:45, concluding with the New Britain Symphony Brass Ensemble from 3:00 – 4:00.
