Spring 2023 Street Milling and Paving

As part of the Town of Plainville's Road Bond Pavement Maintenance Program, the Town utilizes three procedures to maintain the quality of its roads: milling, paving, crack sealing. These methods are cost effective, and the road selection is chosen through a variety of factors.

This season, we anticipate milling and repaving several roads across town. The proposed candidates are subject to change for many reasons including, but not limited to, other roads taking priority due to deterioration, utility projects, and cost.

The Town of Plainville's Roadways Department is anticipating the start of road restoration, road milling, to begin the week of April 10, 2023, followed by paving, wrapping up sometime the week of May 15th weather permitting.

Please note that there may be delays in these areas, detours, or road closures. Access for residents, businesses, and emergencies will be maintained. Please use caution when driving through these work zones and follow all traffic signage where necessary.

If you should have any questions or concerns regarding work performed, please feel free to contact Public Works Administration between the hours of 8am-4pm Monday-Wednesday, 8am-7pm Thursday and 8am to noon Friday at (860)793-0221 Ext 7176.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
