Residential Household Hazardous Waste Collection - NOVEMBER 7, Bristol Public Works Garage

Tunxis Recycling Communities will hold a Residential Houshold Hazardous Waste Colleciton on Saturday, November 7.  The collection will be held from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the City of Bristol Public Works Garage, 95 Vincent P. Kelly Road (off of Rte. 229).  The collection is free to residents of Berlin, Bristol, Burlington, New Britain, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott.  NO waste from businesses or contractors will be accepted.  Please note the following important COVID precautions:

  • YOU MUST REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES.
  • Please limit your visit to ONE person per vehicle, we request passengers not attend.
  • Keep your windows rolled up once your vehicle enters the Public Works facility.
  • Present your resident photo ID through a closed driver door window
  • All attendees must have masks securely covering both the mouth and nose.

Fuel containers will not be returned at this event; do not bring gas in containers you wish to keep.  For a list of additional instructions as well as items that can and cannot be brought to the Collection, please click on the brochure link below.
