Public Meeting Scheduled for Draft 2019-2029 PoCD

Press Release - April 16, 2019
The Town of Plainville has scheduled a public information meeting to get comments and feedback from Plainville residents on the draft 2019-2029 Plan of Conservation and Development for the community.

The meeting is scheduled for:

April 30, 2019
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Plainville Municipal Center – Council Chambers
One Central Square

The Draft Plan is available on the Town website by clicking here.

Following the public meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission will review community input and consider changes to the Draft Plan.  The current Plan of Conservation and Development was adopted in 2009.

A Plan of Conservation and Development is an advisory document used by the Planning and Zoning Commission and other Town agencies to:

  • Protect the resources important to residents
  • Guide growth and change in Plainville
  • Identify facilities and services needed or wanted to support the community

Plainville residents are encouraged to come to the meeting to help ensure that the Plan of Conservation and Development reflects community goals. “This Plan is an important document which will be used to guide future conservation and development activity over the next decade and beyond,” said Jennifer Bartiss-Early, Chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
