Town of Plainville Leaf Collection

Leaf collection in the Town of Plainville will begin during the week of October 25th, 2023 until December 2, 2023 (weather permitting). Listed below is the schedule of areas to be covered on the first collection. Please note, schedule of areas are subject to change.

  • Robert Holcomb Way, Maple Street (includes Pine St/Route 10)
  • Pierce Street, West Main Street (includes Washington Street)
  • Red Stone Hill, Duval Lane (includes South Washington)
  • Shuttle Meadow Road, Stillwell Drive (includes Route 10)
  • Dallas Ave, Ledge Road (includes Woodford Ave/ White Oak Ave)
  • Metacomet Road, Cooke Street (includes Colonial Ct)
  • Hardwood Drive, Jefferson Street (includes Farmington Ave)
  • Provencher Drive, Overlook Road (includes Northwest Drive/Tyler Farms)
  • Bruce Ave, Camp Street (includes Unionville Ave)

Every effort will be made to keep you informed as the progress of the operation and any questions should be directed to the Public Works Administration Office between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Wednesday and 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Thursdays at (860)793-0221 ext. 7176.

Please be sure to rake your leaves to the curb (not on the street) as early as possible without blocking sidewalks or walkways. GRASS CLIPPINGS, STICKS AND STONES WILL NOT BE COLLECTED! If your street has an island on it, please DO NOT put your leaves on the island.

Bagged leaves will not be collected at curbside; residents can bring them to the Transfer Station on Granger Lane starting on October 30th through December 2nd, Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (weather permitting) for LEAF DISPOSAL ONLY.  Residents also have the option to drop bagged leaves off at the Transfer Station on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, the Transfer Station’s normal hours of operation.
