In an ongoing effort to offer engaging experiences, the library offers Nintendo Switch consoles, Nintendo games, as well as, board and card games for borrowing and in-house use. Looking to play games solo or with friends check out our collection.

 | Nintendo Switch Consoles
Four Nintendo Switch consoles are available for borrowing.
Patrons must be 18 or older with a library card in good standing.
Nintendo Switch checkout is limited to one per household for a period of two weeks and may not be renewed.
Patrons must wait 48 hours between check-outs of a Nintendo Switch.
Patrons may not reserve a Nintendo Switch in advance.
An overdue charge of $10 per day will be charged for a Nintendo Switch that is not returned on time.
Three late returns will result in a permanent loss of Nintendo Switch borrowing privileges.

Nintendo Switch Games
Switch games circulate for two weeks.
Two games may be checkout per household.
Switch games may be placed on hold and picked up only at the Plainville Public Library.
Switch games are not renewable.
Switch games are subject to $1.00/day late fee if not returned on time.
Games Rated E10+ and higher are located at the Main Circulation Desk.
Games Rated E for Everyone are located at the Youth Services Circulation Desk.
Pre-downloaded games on each of the Nintendo Switch consoles include; Mario Kart 8, Nintendo Switch Sports, and Super Smash Ultimate.

 | In-House Play Nintendo Switch
The Youth Services Department offers ONE Nintendo Switch console for in-house game use within the library.
Patrons may borrow and play a Nintendo Switch inside the library for up to two hours a day.
No library card needed.
Patrons under age 18 must stay in the Youth Services Department while using the Nintendo Switch.
Choose Switch games from either the pre-downloaded games or those games available at the Circulation Desks.
Players can switch out game cartridges up to two times within the two hours of play.
In-house Nintendo Switch console may not be reserved in advance.
