Computers & Wi-Fi

The library has computers available for public use in the Adult and Youth Services Departments. A valid library card is needed to log onto the computers or you may request a guest pass. Patrons have 90 minutes of computer use per day. More time will be allotted if there are not patrons waiting. All public computers have Internet access, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

Printing is $0.10 per page for black & white; $0.25 per page for color. Money is added to your library card by staff prior to printing. 

The Plainville Public Library offers free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Patrons can connect to the Wi-Fi using the network PPL and password 'Plainville'.

Chromebooks and hotspots are available for checkout to anyone 18 years of age or over with a library card in good standing. Visit the Reference Desk for more information or visit the Loanable Technology tab under the Adult Section of the website. 

Scan

The library offers free document scanning at the Reference Desk. Documents can be scanned and saved to a flash drive or emailed. Scanned documents are saved as pdf files.

Copy

Copies can be made at the library for $0.10 per page for black & white and $0.25 per page for color. Copies are only available in letter size and legal size. The copy machine is located near the Reference Desk. 

Fax

The library offers faxing for $1.00 per page to a maximum charge of $5.00. Library staff is available for assistance. Faxes are sent through the copy machine located near the Reference Desk.
