Native American Artifacts

The Plainville Public Library received a collection of Native American artifacts in the early 1940s from New Britain resident Joseph F. Lamb. The collection included more than 800 cataloged articles and several hundred arrow heads. Mr. Lamb collected the relics for over 60 years before donating them to the Library. Most of the artifacts are from the surrounding area but, the collection does include items from Florida, North Carolina, and other states.
The collection is on display in the Adult Department and can be browsed whenever the Library is open.
