Ninendo Switch games and consoles now for rent in the Youth Services Department

Nintendo Switch games and consoles now available for check out in the Youth Services Department.

Videogame Checkouts:
 

  • Switch games circulate for TWO WEEKS.
  • $1.00/day late fee.
  • Cannot be reserved.
  • Non-renewable.
  • 2 games allowed per card.

Check Out a Console:
 

  • Switch consoles circulate for TWO WEEKS.
  • Consoles must be checked out by an adult age 18+.
  • $10.00/day late fee.
  • Cannot be reserved.
  • Non-renewable.
  • Must wait 48 hours between check outs.
  • 3 late returns will result in a ban.

Play While Hanging at the Library:
 

  • No library card needed.
  • Play inside the library for up to 2 hours/day.
  • Players under age 18 must stay in the Youth Department.
  • Cannot be reserved.
  • Can change game up to 2x.

 

     Teen Book Boxes. Grades 6-12. Sign up all month long. Registration can be found on the 1st of every month.                                                                                   



Teen Book Box


Fill out the online form to get your personalized book pick(s) along with some goodies.
 

Each month you will receive: 
 

  • A handpicked YA title on a theme or tailored to your preferences
  • An assortment of items that may include: a sticker, a bookmark, and/or a mystery gift or gifts.

We will fulfill holds starting around the last full week of each month.



 

The registration form can be found on the 1st of each month through our online calendar. Registration can be done anytime throughout the entire month.

D&D for Beginners

 

Dungeons and Dragons for Beginners

Thursdays from 4:00-5:30 PM

Ages 11-17

Group One: September 7th, October 5th, and November 2nd.

Group Two: September 21st, October 26th, and November 16th.


Calling all curious adventurers! Players will learn the fundamentals of D&D where their decisions will have a direct effect on the world and story.
 

Registration is required and is needed only once for all three dates
Space is limited to six players per group.

Grades 6-8: Wednesdays from 1:30 - 3:30 PM

Grades 9-12: Wednesdays from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. September 20th, October 25th, and November 22nd

 

Attendees are welcome to play board, card, and video games while snacking on pizza and other light refreshments.

Anime & Manga Club

Wednesdays, September 13th, October 18th, and November 15th at 4:00 PM
Grades 7-12


Admirers of anime and manga can meet, discuss popular books, and watch some of their favorite shows while snacking on foods often featured within them.

Foodie Fun

Tuesdays on September 26th, October 24th, and November 28th at 5:00 PM
Grades 6-12

Teens can embrace their inner foodie by learning new skills and tasting delicious food.

  • September 26th: Pumpkin Seeds and Mini Crustless Pumpkin Pie
  • October 24th: Spooky-themed Party Snacks (dress for the Costume Contest!)
  • November 28th: Chocolate Bark

Gluten-free accommodations can be made.

FNAF After-Hours Party

 

Five Nights at Freddy's After-Hours Party

Friday, October 13th from 6:00-8:00 PM

Grades 6-12
 

To celebrate the release of the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, a transformation will begin after-hours at the library. Pizza and snacks will be served alongside themed activities and trivia. All attendees will go home with a themed goody bag.

Board games and video games will be available to play over the holiday weekend during special drop-in hours.

 

No registration needed.
