Borrow Online Materials

Patrons with a valid Plainville Public Library card may borrow e-books, audiobooks, magazines, and more for free through the apps below.

Plainville Library cardholders may borrow movies, TV, music, e-books, audiobooks, magazines, and more for free by downloading the Hoopla app through Google Play or the App Store. Hoopla BingePass allows users to binge an entire series of content with just one borrow. Plainville Public Library users receive 3 borrows per month. To use Hoopla, create a free account with your email address, password, and library card number. 

Plainville Library cardholders may borrow e-books, audiobooks, and magazines for free by downloading the Libby app through Google Play or the App Store. Users receive 10 borrows per month. Magazine borrows are unlimited. To use Libby, search for Plainville Public Library and log in with your library card number.

Palace gives library cardholders across Connecticut complimentary access to e-book and audiobook titles from Bibliotheca, Baker & Taylor, Palace Content, OverDrive, and the CT State Library, all in one app. Users may download the app for free on Google Play or the App Store.

Library cardholders may read popular magazines provided by the CT State Library. Back issues are also available.
