Plainville has two industrial parks. The first, known as Strawberry Fields, is a qualified State Contiguous Municipality Zone (CMZ). The CMZ is more commonly referred to as the Enterprise Zone, (click on link for more detailed information) where the State of Connecticut offers strong tax incentives for qualifying manufacturing firms. Incentives reducing tax exposure on real property improvements and certain equipment purchases of up to 80% offered over a five year period are standard for qualifying firms. Additional tax credits are available under certain circumstances. A map of the Plainville Contiguous Municipality Zone is available by clicking HERE. The second industrial park is known as Farmington Valley Corporate Park. More information can be obtained by clicking on the link to the left.
