Town of Plainville Conducting On-Line Survey For Plan of Conservation and Development

7/9/18
The Town of Plainville is conducting an on-line survey to get input from residents as part of updating the Plan of Conservation and Development.  As of July 9th, the survey can be accessed from the front page of the Town website under “Spotlight” at: www.plainvillect.com

The survey will remain open until August 8th and provides residents an opportunity to identify issues they believe need attention, now and in the future, and suggest priorities and strategies for consideration in the updated Plan.

A Plan of Conservation and Development (Plan) is an advisory document used by the Planning and Zoning Commission and other agencies to:

  • Promote the protection of the important resources
  • Guide housing and business development in Plainville
  • Identify facilities and services needed or wanted to support the community

The current Plan of Conservation and Development was adopted in 2009.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the survey to help ensure that the Plan reflects community goals. “This Plan is an important document which will be used to guide future conservation and development activity over the next decade and beyond,” said Jennifer Bartiss-Earley, Chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Town is publicizing the availability of the survey through regular media outlets -- the Town website and Facebook page.  People who want to stay up-to-date on Town events and other topics are encouraged to connect to the Town’s Facebook account.
