Making a Payment

Paying in Person

When paying in person, bring your bill or statement with you. 

Bills may be paid at the Revenue Collector’s Office in the Municipal Center, One Central Square, Plainville Room# 202.

Paying by Mail

When paying by mail, write your list number(s) on the back of your check or money order, and make payable to: Revenue Collector. Mail to: One Central Square, Plainville, CT  06062.  Include the lower portion of your bill with your payment.

For return of receipts, enclose  a Self-addressed, stamped envelope with your tax payment.

Real Estate Tax bills for the first and Second installment of the current grand list will be mailed in June and will payable by August 1 and February 1. 

WE DO NOT SEND REMINDERS TO PAY THE JANUARY INSTALLMENT ON REAL ESTATE BILLS. We suggest that when you receive your real estate tax bill in June, that you remove the January payment stub and attach it to your December calendar so that you don’t forget to pay it in January. Paying by Credit Card

The Town of Plainville offers our taxpayers two ways to pay by credit card. Please note, there is a fee to pay by credit card.
Our online service will no longer support Internet Explorer after March 31st 2021.

1) Taxpayers can pay and/or view bills online our eco-friendly, safe and secure, fast and easy credit card company.  
NOTE: It takes 24-48 hours for the Plainville Revenue Office to receive and process online credit card payments. It will take an additional 48 hours (after your payment has been processed) to be cleared through Motor Vehicle.
2) The Town of Plainville also accepts credit cards over the counter  for payment on Real Estate, Personal Property, Motor Vehicle and Sewer Usage bills. The fee for this service is 2.65% for visa, mastercard or discover.
