               PLAINVILLE, CT – Plainville residents can participate in the Hazardous Waste Collections at the locations below during the time-frames listed. Proof of residency required.

 

Residential Recycling Center located at 642 Christian Lane in Berlin, CT. May 19, 2023, between 2:30 P.M and 6:30 P.M.

  Bristol Public Works Garage located at 95 Vincent P Kelly Road in Bristol, CT November 18, 2023, between 9:00 A.M and 1:00 P.M.

 

Accepted Items:

  Non-empty aerosol cans, household batteries, furniture, floor and metal polishes, bleach and spot removers, oven, drain and household cleaners, bug sprays, disinfectants, & mildew removers, CFL, fluorescent bulbs, LED’S, ammonia, paint, varnishes, shellac, stains, thinners, & paint strippers, pool, and photographic chemicals, lawn care chemicals such as pesticides, and fertilizers, auto fluids such as motor oil and antifreeze, car waxes, kerosene, fuel oil, mercury (including thermometers and thermostats), waste fuel, mothballs, hobby supplies and charcoal lighter fluid. 


 All products must be sealed and packed in a sturdy crate or box for safe transport. There is a five gallon limit per person.

  • Appliances, commercial or industrial waste, electronics, empty containers, flares, ammunition, and other explosives, medicines, and medical devices, open containers, propane tanks, smoke detectors, and tires.
