The Elizabeth Berner Pool located in Norton Park will open for the 2010 season on Saturday, June 12th from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The hours of operation are:
   June 12 & 13th         1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
   June 14 to 18th        3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
   June 19th to August 15th 1:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M.

Post Season Monday, August 16th   1:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Adult Swim: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday lap pool and Thursdays 6:15-7:30 p.m.

The Plainville Recreation Department is currently issuing Picture I.D.'s, renewal stickers and passes for the 2010 summer season.

                                          Elizabeth A. Berner Pool Policy

  1. All Plainville Residents ages 5 and up are eligible for a picture I.D. pass card. Under 5 year's of age no card required.

   2.  Children under 9 year's of age must be accompanied by adult to use facility.

   3.  Initial picture Pool I.D. Card fee is $12.00/card proof of residency is required. 
        passes are issued in the Recreation Office only.

   4.  I.D. Cards must be renewed annually at a fee of $10.00/card in the 
        Recreation Office
only. If the Recreation Department determines that a new
        Pool I.D. Card is needed, it will be the responsibility of cardholder to do so.
        This cost will be $10.00. 

   5.  Senior Citizens will pay a $10.00 fee for I.D. Cards and $8.00 for renewal
       (65& Over). 

   6.  Replacement I.D. Card Fee is $12.00/card. Issued in the Recreation Office 
        only (Lost Card).

   7.  Daily pool passes for residents are available at the fee of $2.00/each and are
       limited to 10 per season per adult. Minimum age to purchase pool pass is 18
       years of age and proof of residency is required. If you leave the facility, you
       must have your hand stamped to re-enter. Passes are available at the Pool or
       Recreation Office. POOL PASSES ARE NON REFUNDABLE AND NON
       TANSFERABLE. Passes purchased at the Berner Pool must be used at the time
       of purchase.

   8.  Residents must show their I.D. Card or a pool pass to be admitted into the 
        pool area. Rules are strictly enforced. 

   9.  Due to the large numbers of residents using the Berner Pool we are unable to
       grant access to this facility for groups or local organizations.


  10. Non-residents (including children) may obtain a daily pool pass at a fee of
       $12.00/each. If you leave the facility, you must have your hand stamped, to
       re-enter. Passes are available at the Pool or the Recreation Offices. Passes
       purchased at the Berner Pool must be used at the time of purchase.

The Recreation Office is located at 50 Whiting Street. Office hours are Monday through Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
