ALERT TO CUSTOMERS: Please be wary of telephone calls from people claiming to be from CL&P, offering "a $40 rebate," and then requesting your CL&P account number and Social Security number.

If you receive such a call, DO NOT provide personal information such as an account number or Social Security number to any unsolicited caller, even if the caller seems legitimate. Please hang up the phone and report the incident to your local police.

If you have any doubt regarding the authenticity of a phone call or visit from a person claiming to be a representative of CL&P, call us immediately at 800-286-2000 and ask the customer service representative to verify the call or visit.
