Fingerprinting Schedule:
 
Anyone meeting the requirements below must appear in person at the Plainville Police Department to be fingerprinted. You may do so at any time and on any day, but fingerprinting services may be delayed or postponed when the level of police activity does not permit it.
 
If you need to be fingerprinted for a pistol permit, be sure to bring in all necessary documents.  No appointments are necessary to be fingerprinted.

Fingerprinting Pistol Permit Applicants:

For pistol permits you must be at least 21 years of age and you must be either a Plainville resident or own a business in Plainville.

Further, you must fill out a pistol permit application and bring all the required documents and payments as detailed in the instructional sheet attached to the pistol permit application. The packets are available at the Plainville Police Department.

For Other Fingerprinting, You Must:
  • Bring a government issued photo ID and
  • Be employed by, or seeking employment with, the Plainville Board of Education, Plainville Fire Department, or any other town agency or private business where the law requires a fingerprint check.
