Earth Day

Tomasso Nature Park Cleanup

The Conservation Commission, which has been doing periodic cleanups and maintenance work at Tomasso Nature Park, is looking for volunteers to help cut back invasive plants, such as bittersweet that grow and block the park's access trails.

Tomasso Nature Park, Granger Lane, is open from March 15th thru November 15th, dawn to dusk.  The park offers easy pathways of packed earth with views of two ponds and the natural marsh.  There are also various water birds to watch along with muskrat and the occasional deer.  The nature park is one of Plainville's best-kept secrets, an environmental gem that is home to many native plant and animal species.

National Trails Day

Pequabuck River Cleanup
