Earthstock 2008-An Earth Day Celebration

Celebrate the environment with earthstock 2008. Earthstock 2008 encourages positive thinking and will inspire everyone who attends to appreciate the environment. An assortment of ecologically-minded companies, as well as local & school organizations, will offer products, services, demonstrations, and literature.

Millions of tons of garbage wind up in our nation's rivers and streams every year. Garbage along shorelines is not only unsightly, but it also can be harmful to wildlife. You can help by volunteering a few hours of your time to collect garbage along the Quinnipiac River.

Clean-ups are the easiest way to introduce people to responsible environmental caretaking. You can help by volunteering a few hours of your time to collect trash along the Pequabuck River.




Fishing Derby

Open to Plainville Residents Age 5 to 15 Sunday, October 5, 2008 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. Paderewski Park

The Plainville Conservation Commission exposes youngsters to the sport of fishing through a fun-filled day of fishing and the great outdoors. Prizes are awarded in many categories.
