| The purpose of the Tax & Business Incentive Program is to attract new business and industry to the Town of Plainville and to promote expansion of existing business and industry. Businesses falling under the following categories will receive priority consideration: manufacturing firms (as defined in the Economic Development and Manufacturing Assistance Act of 1990, as amended); facilities designed for the management and administrative support of business activity located elsewhere; high technology firms; wholesale/distribution firms providing new employment not less than one job per each 1,000 square feet of gross building area; and new retail business. Examples of incentives included with this program are tax abatement and financial development incentives. |
